The Protekt Onyx is an extremely affordable patient lift built for durability and ease of use. The Onyx works well in small spaces or rooms with low beds making it ideal for in-home use and rehab settings.  This easy to use lift features a hand operated spreader bar to open and close the arched legs.  The legs open to create a maximum width of 42.25” for great stability and a closed width of 22” allowing the lift to easily fit through most doorways.  The high-performance hydraulics utilized in the actuator provide a gradual and safe patient raise and lower. What Makes This Different The arched legs provide greater stability than straight legs.  The user-friendly hand operated base opening adjusts and locks easily. The dual rear locking casters provide security.  You will know you’re safe when elevated.  The Onyx will remain steady and locked in place when loading the patient into the sling and raising them as well as when lowering the user and removing them from the sling.  Chain connections for slings are included. Why We Like It The 6-point cradle provides a great range of flexibility for sling usage and stabilization.  The 6 points of sling connection helps to prevent movement of the patient when suspended in the sling.  The more points of connection for a sling, means the less amount of sway for the user.  A 6-point will also mean adaptability to a wider range of slings.  2-point, 4-point, and 6-point slings can all be used on the Onyx.
