The Protekt Aire 2000 is ideal for the treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers. The pump is quiet and has a 10 minute cycle time that alternates air flow between the individual bladders to redistribute pressure on the body and relieve major pressure points. The air flow is also easily adjustable with the turn of a dial to suit the patient's individual needs. The pump works quietly to continuously replenish the 17 individual bladders and blow air through the 16 laser holes on the surface to keep the patient cool and dry. The pump also has a low pressure alarm to indicate low air flow. The mattress is protected by a low-friction nylon outer cover to prevent skin shears and is both fluid resistant and anti-microbial. The bottom of the mattress cover also features a non-skid bottom to keep the mattress in place during transfers and repositioning of the patient.
