The Protekt® Supreme Support mattress by Proactive Medical aids in pressure redistribution from The Equalization Technology. Air cells and pressure valves make it beneficial for patients who have little to no movement to reduce pressure sores. The Visco Gel Polymer Technology (VGPT™)  foam mattress is  infused with gel polymers has memory foam for comfort. The VGPT™ increases breathability that breaks up heat and vanishes where moisture would otherwise be created. The section that has a sloped heel helps increase blood circulation and reduce pressure where the lower leg down to the heel that is more in danger for pressure sores. To protect the mattress from fluid the nylon top cover stretches for convienence and is also fire retardant. An optional pressure pump with change adjust the mattress to be filled with air.
